Nowadays almost all women do not feel the need to initiate sex, unless in an LTR type situation. They have their every need catered to, which includes guys initiating sex. Unless you are considerably alpha, with super high SMV, most girls will take your lack of escalation as a sign of fear and insecurity.

Honestly though, this is a stupid/pointless question. You should be absolutely comfortable with initiating sex, once you have your shit together it just feels right and you'll do it without thinking. Read the Sex God Method if you haven't already, taking the reigns in bed is something which all women lust after.

No, it's not normal. Girls who really like sex will initiate. However girls do really want the man to take the lead most of the time.
