17/m at a new high school.

Haven't made new friends today but it's alright, just my first day at school.

The thing is, I have a really monotonous voice, even this post may sound monotonous. I can't really attract the attention of the class or the person I'm talking to because I'm not animated and I'm not animated in my voice because of these reasons

1) I feel like I have a high pitched voice so I'm a bit scared of my voice sounding too high when I try and reach a higher pitch.

2) I'm a bit nervous meeting new people.

On the matter of meeting new people, I didn't start a conversation with anyone today. I just really don't know what to say to them because they're probably busy doing their own shit with their friends. I'm like one of two new kids at my grade in a really small school (85 people or so in my grade) so I'll eventually meet everyone, hopefully. But that shit builds up with conversations and I have a serious issue in conveying interest, speaking with an interesting voice, and talking about things. Need any tips for tomorrow.

edit: I was also a bit more serious looking than I usually am (I used to always idiotically smile at things because I felt awkward whenever I didn't). Could this possibly make me look a bit too serious, even though there wasn't really anything funny I herad?
