I lost 100lbs eating fast food. I counted calories. I know how to lose fat.

I gained some back, started lifting again (did zero lifting when I lost the weight) and got fatter cuz boy I can eat and get strong real easy. I can eat way too much real easy!

Now I want to lose that weight I gained back, and more cuz even after losing 100lbs I still had some to go.

I want to keep lifting and lose the fat. But I’m not sure how you progress with the lifting while you lose fat. I’ve regressed back into novice stage since I stopped lifting for my entire 100lb weight loss journey.

Do I just go lift the same amount of weight every day? Do I follow a lifting program and try to add weight or do I just lift as heavy as I can for that day depending on how my body feels?

I’m expecting that as I lose weight I either stall or get weaker. This is an annoying thing to overcome mentally as is weight loss so it’s like a double whammy. Not only do I have to be hungry as a motherfucker every day (cuz I be hungry as FUCK when I lift) I also have to force myself to go lift and be OK with not getting stronger (which is why I lift in the first place!)

I’m just not sure about the lifting part. Do I just do starting strength and progress slower? What does a realistic week look like? If I stall, do I just keep lifting the same weights or do I reduce the weight? If i get weaker do I increase sets of a new lesser weight or do I just accept that new weaker state and lift with those weights?

What sort of strategy in terms of lifting is best for weight loss? I pretty much only do compound lifts, high reps? Low reps as heavy as possible?

I just want to lose the fat and come out as a beautiful butterfly instead of just skinny fat!
