For context, just got in a fresh LTR, we are both very young still in secondary school. She just called me (we usually text) and made conversation. During this, she cancels plans for tonight because she said that she "forgot" her friend already had plans. It was a last minute flake. I just said no problem, have fun. First time flaked on by her. Also she's on her period and she knows I will escalate, so I think that was the factor?

So I just soft next and dread, correct? I already dread her on a daily basis (keep texting to a minimum, abundance with other girls) but I also don't know why she flaked and told me so late. When I asked her to hang out, she did not explicitly say yes and told me she would let me know, which means she knew she couldn't.

Also, any extra tips on LTRs are welcome, especially concerning getting attached.
