What possible reason could she have to be afraid of someone who will spend 12-18 years in prison? He won't even remember her name when he gets out.

She is lying. One of three things happened.

A. She fucked him and has regrets.

B. She fooled around with him and has regrets.

C. She tried to do one of the above and he rejected her.

True story: one of my former employees has a boyfriend in jail right now awaiting trial for exactly this situation. A friend (former ex) of her boyfriend whispered (not screamed!) rape after consensual sex. He went to the guy's house and attacked him with an iron pipe. Gave the guy a fractured skull.

The best thing that happens to this stupid asshole is 10-35 for attempted murder.

Based off your responses to other comments, my guess is she willingly cheated, regretted it, and is now claiming sexual assault to save face. If her story was really true, a guy grabbed her by the neck and assaulted her, she would have gone to the cops. Think about it, what guy would grab a girl by the neck and feel her up and give her a hickey, if she wasn't already flirting with him.

You deal with that situation by not giving a shit. Sounds immoral, but that's life. Besides, there's nothing you can do to set things straight, on top of it all, she will try to get full emotional support from you now - which is annoying if you're trying to succeed in life.

Think about these things first;

- If situation was reversed somehow, and it was you who would be down due to something negative of that magnitude. Do you honestly believe that she would have been that support for you? Think about it long and carefully.

- Can you handle that negative bullshit? Remember what TRP taught us? You ghost negative people, you never stick around. Immoral as it is, it's not your fault, and thus not your problem in the end. She would have done the same most likely.

Do whatever you want man, just consider cost/benefit before you fully engage into this issue.
