At the beginning of the school year I asked out this foreign HB7 from Eastern Europe in my class and got rejected.

It was my first day in school, we just met and barely knew each other, but she was giving me the look and I thought I had it nailed down. I walked her back to campus after class, asked for her number, and got shot down. OK, no big deal.

A few weeks later she approaches me to ask for help with homework. I was butthurt from the rejection, and basically told her to do her own work. Then a few days later it clicked in my head, she was looking for an excuse to hang out with me!

So I again approached her after class, talked to her for a bit and invited her to hang out. Once again, rejection. After some self analysis I thought I was being played, and soft nexted.

Over the following semester she would say hi to me whenever we met. Sometimes even draping her arms over me. When I did reply, she kept walking. I then began to consistently ignore her, which seems to piss her off.

Today I learnt she's become good friends with this dad bod guy who lives right next door. I don't know if they bang, couldn't care less. But now when she sees me she is visibly affected. She doesn't speak or acknowledge my presence, but I can sense anger.

I don't care about this chick one way or another. But I would love your opinions, gentlemen. Did I have a chance or was I put into the BB box straight away? (My suspicion) Is this behavior common due to shyness/lack of experience?
