I'm currently reading this book and I agree that it can be confusing because it spend the first 50+ pages being (if you're a beginner like me) almost the opposite of one might expect from a red pill book.

But as I'm reading further I can see that it's not showing me how to mimic the alpha, it's showing me how to become one.

I made a girl laugh today because I said "apparently I'm not funny :("

I was making myself vulnerable to say "yeah you're really not" or whatever the case.

But she loved it.

Starting out, you pull out all your feels. This helps you not be a bitchy little sap, but if you stay that way you'll be a robot and that doesn't really get you laid either. Once you're comfortable controlling your vulnerability you'll have a sense of where it's appropriate to show it, then you increase it little by little until you get results.

I guess it's about being vulnerable only to an extent that if the girl attacks you, you still have enough strength to laugh it off. So you want to appear vulnerable without actually being vulnerable. Guys who come across as too guarded risk getting judged on that as well, as it can be a clear sign of a lack of self-confidence.
