I'm a freshman in college and just had my first date yesterday (Saturday). I cold approached this girl on Thursday, and got her contact info. She turned out to actually be 2 years older than me, a junior.

While I have no reference as this was my first date ever, I have to say that it was a huge success. I was able to use many skills such as kino and teasing. We had gone to get ice cream, and I kiss-closed about 5 minutes after we had been sitting down. It was merely a peck, she said she was not comfortable with getting too physical on the first date. Was that merely ASD? Or perhaps my SMV wasn't high enough for her to behave that way.

From her accounts of her being a party animal, I know for a fact that she has experience. I tried to kiss-close about twice more after varying intervals and was turned down both times, with a final kiss close at the dates' end that finally worked, again only a peck though.

While our conversation flowed effortlessly, without any awkward silences, and I felt the connection there, she continuously repeated throughout the date (at least 5 times) that I was too young for her. Is there a way to move past that? All-in-all, it was a great experience to finally see some success after many rejections and months of reading.

This was last night and she had said she was going to text me that same night to invite me over to her dorm. No text since, about 20 hours later.

Is the age gap really that big an issue? It's not to me, but she made a big deal of it. I want this girl as a plate and she would be my first. I am aware of the danger of oneitis as well as the abundance that I still need to create to ensure that oneitis does not strike me. Overall, what did I do right? What did I do wrong? How do I move forward with this girl?

(Just made a trp throwaway btw)
