Need Help Choosing Career

Do what you wanted to do before someone told you that you had to get a job with good money. I always thought geology was interesting, but the course load was intensive and went past my level of interest. I switched to criminal justice because the courseload is manageable and also nets some pretty cool jobs. My goal job involves two things I am fascinated about: the outdoors, guns, and physical fitness.

Find what you enjoy and think you can manage to do. Video game work is a dead end. Engineering is a lot of hardw work to sit in an office. Comp sci is equally hard. I prefer human interaction, not science, but that's due to my own study habits and intellectual abilities.

You seem to have your mind set on making a shit ton of money, I don't blame you. If this is what you really want then don't let anyone sell you on doing what you're interested 100% interested in. Otherwise you're stuck in a job you're interested in but 90% of the time hitting a salary bracket.

You're good at maths and physics so leverage your skills. Go for engineering, economics anything with heavy quant statistics. Try and include a finance course alongside degree.

Try your luck in investment banking, engineering based sales, quant analysis based jobs or design your own product set up a business and profit.

Dont go for the money right away bub. Remember you will most likely spend the fucking rest of your life doing this shit so you better pick something you like, or at least something you dont hate.

With practice and experience comes the wisdom to see the business opportunities, that is, ways to make money on your own, for you yourself, not another's dude company.

The only way you're going to hit high 6 / low 7 is to:

Own your own business(es)
Be an executive at a large company

Try your hand at prop trading. Lots of money in the markets for those who are insatiably hungry for success.

Your best bet is to look at finance or accounting. You'll want to work in a bank, hedge fund, or other finance related position in big business to earn that kind of income.
