Read all the theory but now I’m trying to practice it. Only problem is I run out of things to say within the first two sentences spoken. I’ll give an example,

I was in class yesterday and there was a girl in my group who I’m I think is somewhat attractive so I sparked a convo. First I asked for help with the problem we were doing which I was struggling with and she seemed chill so I wanted to contribute the convo. I saw she had a world champ hat on so I mentioned it and she said she’s not but it’s for the women’s soccer team.... where do I take a conversation from that.

I realize now that I should be trying to form a connection rather than just shooting my shot with everyone I find hot. I intend on making a few approaches on my way home. Does anyone have like a basic guide of what I should be saying. Usually I just say I thought you were cute and ask for the number but that never usually works and I don’t form a good impression.

TLDR: trying to get better at talking to people, but I can’t get the conversation to last.
