"Negging" is a PUA term that has some basis in fact, but like most PUA shit, is total pseudo-science used by the type of loser who takes the whole PUA thing literally.

It is difficult for something like that to be a "taught behaviour". I can kind of explain it, but it isn't something you can really do if you need it explaining.

Knowing when to make a subtle dig is much the same as self-deprecating jokes. The advice on here seems to be "never make self-deprecating jokes" even though that's dynamite if it's natural and done well. But much like "negging" it's a behaviour that has so much potential to go fucking wrong if you need to ask. Like, really fucking wrong.

TL;DR - don't try if you have to ask.

The way I see it, negging is basically talking to women as you would a fellow man, i. e.: no bullshit, brutal honesty, some lighthearted insults thrown in. The reason negging has such good success is that it makes you stand out from the leagues of SIMPs and supplicating faggots around you, in the process creating a perceived image of superiority (you don't treat her overly nice, so she believes you have better options available.)

If you're one of those guys who doesn't even know how to banter with his male friends, well... you have no business even being around women. Work on yourself first.
