On a scale from hell no to totally committed, how much do you let your relationships dictate your job choice and location?

Let me tell you the more extreme example. I'm married going on 8 years. My wife got a job in Germany, I followed. Her behavior within our marriage has completely changed how I see women.

Now I failed my part of the marriage, so I'm not surprised by her behavior. But I'll tell you one thing; I will never again let my future life choices be influenced by my marriage again. I'd rather get divorced.

Last time I agreed to move to be closer to an ex ended up real bad for me. Basically I had to move 2 times in 3 months because of my idiocy. Lesson learned. Never do that.
