There are four situations in which a man is permitted to cry:
A. Death of a loved one. Father, mother, child, sibling, grandfather and beloved uncle, only.
B. Death of a beloved animal who has been a good and faithful pet for many years. Ex. I teared up when I had to put a pet down who had saved my father's life. I went in to the room with him and held him so that he would be calm in his final moments and so that the last thing he saw was the face of someone who loved him. I'm getting a bit misty now, thinking about it.
C. At the end of "Old Yeller". If you don't cry the first time you watch the end of "Old Yeller" then you aren't human.
D. If you suffer a "career-ending" type injury, but only if you are yelling and cursing through the tears.

Regarding C: The running grenade scene with Jim Brown in "The Dirty Dozen" is also acceptable. 'Cause you know there's no way he can make it, and he does it anyway, because of duty, not merely to his country, but to his brothers.

Yeah, there's probably a few other exceptions, as well, such as a "Hallowed Ground" exception, for those visiting the Battleship Arizona, the D-Day beaches in France, Midway Island, Thermopylae, etc., that have been consecrated by the Blood of the Brave and Noble.

I'd seen this posted before and it seems to imply in front of others and is delivered in a humorous way. I'm talking strictly in private how is a man to deal with too many struggles getting to him.

I got EXTREMELY high about two weeks ago and cried for about five mins on the drive home. I hadn't cried in years... didn't change anything, 5/10 wouldnt recommend.

I didn't cry when my dog got put down, but I did when Gandalf the Grey dies in Lord of the Rings. Something about sacrificing ones life for others makes me choke up more often than anything else. I also tear up watching great moments in athletics. Something about awesome human achievements is beautiful to me. I think part of this is my desire to live a life that has meaning beyond death; to create or achieve or do something that fundamentally impacts something greater than myself. I think crying is okay but I think it's best to keep a brave face in front of others and cry when you are alone if possible. I think this is especially important if other people are grieving. It is important to act as the rock but you shouldn't just bottle up your emotions forever. Try to deal with them privately when you are able to.

Fuck yeah bud cry it out. I cry all the time. Not like it's normal in front of people but I'm kinda fucked in the head and been through a lot so I just break down. Confidence is key though. Own it and no one will judge you. Just look at the NBA finals last night. Everyones respecting jr and LeBron for letting one out.
