I’ve been on trp for a while now. It’s worked well and I have a pretty good rotation. Problem is, there’s this one girl that makes me go nuts.

Known her for about a year. Both students, started out the relationship on a study buddy basis. Attempted to escalate but moments of true disrespect (of my time and frame) left me tired of the pursuit. When school ends or it gets tough, we tend to lose communication. She’s not my most valuable resource. She pretends that I am, but consistently breaks meeting plans and only responds to my texts when she feels like. It’s not out of her character to completely ignore my question and ask another question the next day.

It was great, I was free and I had others on my plate. However during this quarantine, I got sucked back in with the initial qualities I noticed when I first began my pursuit.

Recently, after about a month of hiatus, I showed interest over text and she responded somewhat well. Casual flirting. As soon as classes (online) started, its right back to talking about classes only. She’s helpful, but no where as helpful as my other connections in that region.

That’s not efficient for me. Therefore, I stopped attempting to make plans. Last week, after about a month of constant reminder of how she would like to meet up in person to study, I agreed to a FaceTime call. I set up a time 24 hours after which she agreed to. She never showed up and responds to my text an hour later showing signs that she forgot that this meeting even existed.

I cut all communication with her after. I couldn’t belive that I was disrespected like that after knowing time is my most valuable resource. I was consistently getting texts twice a day for the week I did not respond.

The problem is, I’m not satisfied. I would like a harsh wake up call from you guys or advice on how to proceed. I somehow still want her. I can’t explain and I’m genuinely mortified to some degree that I am feeling this way about ONE girl.
