TRP,

I just made a Reddit account, but I've been lurking TRP for several months. I recently bought Tomassi's The Rational Male and I've come across his post on the Nice Guy-Jerk spectrum.

I guess some background on me - all the basic red pill concepts have made sense to me for quite some time. Lift. Hold frame. Better yourself. Fortunately, I'm still in my early 20s, but I understand them. Implementing them into my behavior has been quite the task however, since I'm coming from an incredibly beta background.

I've been having trouble abstaining from the habit of giving knee jerk nice guy responses in all of my interactions, not just with girls. I give in to requests out of habit even when they're an inconvenience. I want to become someone who will shamelessly exert his masculinity, and so I ask, would it be worth it to "over-correct" for a while? What I mean by that is to be an indiscriminate asshole for however long it takes until it's natural to me, and then try to fine-tune my behavior from there to not be so destructive. Is there a better alternative?

Thanks
