Summary: I've had a friend (we are both male) who has been passive aggressive ever since I denied him a request to land him a job.

He seems to be hamstering like a female imo.

Details: A friend asked me to ask for a position at a company for him. We aren't close friends, more like from the same social circles. I've read the situation and decided not to. I told him pretty frankly that I wasn't in the position to land him a job. He seems to think otherwise because he does stuff like pretending to inquire about my well-being then glaring at me, and getting his closer friends to talk smack when I'm within earshot but not in front of them.

My current choices are:

1) ignore this bull and keep frame. The people that are closer to him are just being loyal and I respect that. I do me and they do them.

2) I didn't word it right and should avoid being Frank in a situation like this.

3) Confront him. Doesn't seem smart when the other person is playing passive aggressive and hasn't said anything to me directly about the problems he has with me. Like America in Vietnam - brute force don't work on guerilla tactics.
