They respect guys who care about them. They don't respect guys that worship them for no reason.

They're drawn to other parts of the abusive bf's personality so they rationalize his actions to convince themselves and others that staying with him is the right decision.

First of all that's a subset you are talking about. Women who are in abusive relationships usually have deep insecurity problems and they are addicted to the the roller-coaster of attention that the guy gives her.

Secondly women always want guys who care for them. They only respect guys who care about themselves first over anyone else's needs/hers.

Let me ask you this: In what galaxy does me beating your ass for no reason qualifies as "caring about you"?

Don't listen to what they say, watch what they do. Actually care for her? Get cheated on and disrespected. Cheat on her and beat her? She's hooked and can't get enough of you. Just because she "says" her boyfriend cares about her, it doesn't actually mean for a fact that he does care. That's just HER opinion to rationalize getting her ass beat.

I'm not advocating violence on women or cheating. I'm just analyzing 2 situations.
