So my SO does her morning ritual and gets up, takes the kids to daycare comes back to find that I'm running late this morning. She proceeds to keep asking me "what happened?" Did you set your alarm clock? I asked her how the outcome of the question will affect her day? It doesn't matter what if I hit snooze one too many times, rubbed one out a little too long, or got stuck in a compelling story on ESPN. Then little side comments "grown ass man can't even get up on time." I was ten minutes off schedule for the record. My mother tells me that people will always ask me pointless questions and by saying that I try to explain that in that statement is exactly why I don't answer them. Mom says I'm a dick, but I tried to explain that even if you know the question is pointless, you shouldn't just answer it. I just feel that stupid questions get stupid answers. Am I wrong?
