I just read about Spinoza's take on God. He says that God is simply the ever-broadening understanding of our natural universe, =Law. We are all God, part of the same being (Pantheism) held together by Conatus, from Latin meaning "effort." Ive been chewing on this lately, I really like it.

I think this effort can be construed as personal responsibility and why we feel such disgust when we see people waste themselves away, they don't have the fortitude to cover their end of the deal.

I got a hard on for Philosophy and my current take on God is ask me in 10 years and I probably still will have no fucking clue but maybe I'll be able to word my sentiments better.

So I guess chalk me up for Agnostic? I feel like a lot of Atheists just want to shut the door on Jesus and the Judeo Christian God which I can see but how do you not leave the door open for something? Not even a being as God but something we may not even be able to perceive. I think anyone that says they know something for sure is full of it, generally.

The only 'gods' that ever made sense to me were the pagan gods. Why? Because they were forces of nature that we could actually experience. But I don't agree with anthropomorphizing non-human entities or elements. We know nothing about the entities that might (not) exist in the universe. And we know little about the minds and thoughts of the ones we have here. We don't know what existed before we started looking for answers, and we don't know what will exist after we are gone.

For myself, I know I will cease to exist one day. So why should I go looking for answers that won't matter once I cease to exist? If anyone wants to apply a label to me, that is ok, as long as they don't expect me to accept that as the truth.

I am not much of a philosopher, but I like your answer...
