Depends. On insta no, just take a pic on the beach or something where the main goal of the photo isnt your body (but still visible and shirtless ofc), so it doesnt come off as you showing off your body.

For dating sites some dude here actually found out that despite women telling us they are turn offs, he got more likes with the profile with the most "cringy" pics (bathroom, mirror, flash, half naked, etc) than photos which women said they preffered.

You don’t need to be try hard getting ‘action shots while shirtless’ jumping out of helicopters and shit or being coincidentally shirtless while making a snowman, or getting a fake candid shot at the beach to impress these chicks. That’s tryhard imho.

If you’re in good shape, lean and muscular, you can take shirtless mirror selfies all day and women will eat it up. I've had girls directly message me after posting one back when I was a lot more lean so I doubt they care whether or not it's feminine. Its gives them the hots if you're perceived so.

Mirror selfies seems like a complete no-no, but if you can get some taken by other people, they may be fine. In a few weeks I plan to meet with my personal trainer, and will have him take photos of me so I can see my form from various angles, but part of me hopes I will get one that is also not too try-hard to be a profile picture.
