So one of my friends told me the other day that she wanted to date but something along the lines of "not right now". She's expressed this before, except in the context of other males, so I just shrugged it off and thought whatever.

A couple days ago the conversation on this came up with a mutual friend of ours.(I told him that the potential of me and this girl dating very much is on the table) Later that night me and her are talking and I tell her what I said to this mutual friend. Well, of course, she freaks the fuck out telling me that she didn't want anybody to know for they may take it out of context. Next day, this dumb fuck of a mutual friend, tells everybody we're dating (which is not what I said) and there are people now bugging her asking if we're dating.

This while situation just make me think, WTF!?!?

What are your guys thoughts on this?
