Being able to deflect a shit test is indubitably a vital aspect of interaction with other people, but it can't be consistently replicated without an underlying attitude supporting it- which is the source of my dilemma.
Amused mastery is a possible underlying attitude I looked at, but having read the various articles on it I still can't grasp what it means to feel amused mastery. Growing up with a heavy female influence I learned that insults were to be treated as threats and fought back against, and even though I can sort of understand amused mastery on a theoretical level I have no idea how to actually use it.
Is amused mastery the only kind of 'inner game' that can be used to support shit test deflection? if not, what other mindsets are there? furthermore, what does amused mastery amount to feeling like?
