If one of my friends were to ask me for a favor by giving me an order, I would tell him to go fuck himself. It's just a really shitty way to go about it.

I can tell you right now, your friendships with men will absolutely suck if you continue to try forming a dominant/submissive dynamic. The bonds of brotherhood are formed through mutual respect, so start focusing on treating your male friends with the same respect that you'd like them to give you in return.

For the record, whenever I ask one of my boys for a favor, I usually always offer to give them something if they follow through. 9 times out of 10 they refuse to accept anything for doing me a favor, and my offer to reward them for it simply becomes a nice gesture. I suggest you follow suit if you value the concepts of brotherhood and male companionship.

With the closest friends of mine, 15yrs or more, been a trio forever, we do not ask, we do not apologize, and we will cry or bleed for each other. It is expected.

With every other male except employees, I am polite and appropriate, if demanding.

You know someone's your best friend when I'm sorry is meet with annoyance, they understand just by how you've acted. When an order is met with compliance, because shit must've hit the fan, when silence is comfortable, because you know you don't have to say it all in words.

My dad calls it being Bro Bono, free allowances for that level of mutual respect, experience, and understanding.

Everyone else deserves politeness until proven otherwise.

Instead, uncover something in your request, or in your alliance with him, that will benefit him, and emphasize it out of all proportion. He will respond enthusiastically when he sees something to be gained for himself.
