Note: This is more wrt men (friends) than it is to do with women.
Edit: Roommates, in this case
I often tend to say "Can you get some eggs on the way" vs. "Get some eggs on the way". I suspect this might rub some guys the wrong way, and I don't want a good friend to take offense. At the same time, curtailing it because of what they might do seems like a pussy move.
Sometimes, they're all like "Ok", but I almost always feel a twinge of discomfort giving an 'order'. Seems like I'm focusing too much on the small things.
What do you guys think?
Edit: I can always explain why I can't do it myself, but I'm trying to work on explaining myself less; am I doing this wrong?
