Got a question about drinking for everyone. I finished college a year or so ago. During my 4 years there, I had many drunken nights. I went out 3-4 times a week, and while I didn't get wasted every night, I certainly drank every night.

I haven't been drinking nearly as much since graduating. I go out every other weekend or so, but I've started to think about cutting it out completely.

There isn't one single reason for me to consider this, but I'm starting to think that while drinking can elevate your state and help a great deal with social confidence, it seems like pouring poison into my body night after night isn't really a good idea. I don't know the details, but its hard to think this is good for my body. Hangovers are horrible, and while I often feel great while buzzed, I don't necessarily feel "myself".

I have also noticed there may be a correlation between not drinking and professional success. I was interested to hear President Trump talk about how he has never been a drinker. One reason was because he had an alcoholic brother, but another reason he gave was that life was hard enough as it is, and you need every edge you can get...and alcohol makes things even harder. Politics aside- I think there is some wisdom in that. RSD Tyler has also made similar comments.

I know that getting hooked on alcohol has the potential to ruin your life. I want to know what your thoughts are on this. All opinions are welcome...
