Probably 2 or 3 of my exes have told me I talked/treated them like they were a child (told me during the relationships). I was in fact raised by very loving overprotective parents, my dad being a beta, and my mom being overly nurturing and caring. I'm 21. I don't know if any of that is relevant.
I've seen the concept on TRP about treating women like the children they act like, but I'm assuming if I had done this correctly, my exes would have happily allowed themselves to be treated like children, but something just isn't lining up.
I guess it might've been my previous "nice guy" tone of voice I used to use as a boyfriend. It's not like I was going around with a higher pitched voice saying "yes sweetheart anything for you" with the same tone you use when speaking to a baby or puppy.
Something was unattractive about it, and I'd like to adjust this behavior/habit.
After reading No More Mr Nice Guy last summer (I found it by accident), I've since been told twice that I'm pushy. I dont deny that I find myself commanding /demanding for girls I'm seeing. And I've made the mistake of trying to offer them alternatives. You should know I've only been in TRP for about 3 weeks now, so this is all pre TRP we're talking about.
In my opinion, I'm leaps and bounds past my previous providing, introvertive state that would just mope when my gf wouldn't make time for me.
But, PUSHY. Still, I'd rather over compensate from coming from the shy, pushover end of the spectrum I used to be at.
Enlighten me chad
EDIT: Somehow entirely forgot to mention pushy as another adjective that came up recently. Added several parts.
