I'm new to the Red Pill community by way of JBP's 12 Rules. I'm looking for a little guidance and next steps.

I've never considered myself terribly masculine. I was basically raised by my mother and older sister. My father was present in my life but never fatherly. He was a middle school English teacher with problems of his own. He would go to work, go visit his elder father after work whom he had assumed responsibility for because of slacker siblings, and then come home and fall asleep on the couch.

I always assumed my lack of masculinity and my "preference" for house work, cooking, and laundry were because of my upbringing and lack of a masculine figure in my life who could teach me masculine life lessons and advice.

Looking back, now that I'm armed with some TRP knowledge, I realize that a lot of the things I "prefer" are just a transference of trying to please my present parent (and let's face it, nothing was or is making her happy) to all of the women in my life right up to now with my wife.

What's next? Now that I'm armed with a bit of knowledge, how can I start to expand that and really start to live the RP life? As mentioned, I've listened to JBP's 12 Rules and started in on The Rational Male this morning (thank you Audible!). I love my wife and kids and I have a pretty great life. I just want to start reclaiming it for me and staking out a space where my needs are met.

Thank you for this great community. I look forward to your insights.
