Any career you chase to win someone else's validation is a blue pill career.

RP men do not need validation or to be checked by other men or women on their career choices. Whatever you do though, make sure it's your PASSION. That's what makes a career a RP career. Chasing your passion and dreams while not caring what the hell anyone else thinks.

Women(and RP men) are great at seeing through your bullshit. They will instantly see if you're just doing something to impress them or someone else and that is a huge turn off.

If you choose to join law enforcement you will be nothing but a measly pawn for a corrupt government institution. Cops are class traitors, despite what most simps will lead you to believe. You won’t be doing much “protecting and serving” more like “harassing and collecting”

Take it from someone whose family works in law enforcement. It’s a shit career with a low ceiling.

I’m in law enforcement in the US and it’s a simple career. I’ve done some badass shit like provide CPR to people and children bordering death, chase down people who’ve burglarized small businesses, and fought a murderer once.

It’s what you make of it like any career but the above people are partially right. You feel like a pawn for the government but you realize you do some good at times. I make well over 6 figures, OT up the ass, great benefits and a pension. There’s also options to move up in rank which requires more knowledge of the law and better leadership skills.

My suggestion is try a ridealong and gauge if you can do the day-to-day stuff. 90% of the time it’s pretty boring. And definitely not as high status as a doctor, lawyer, investment banker, etc.

American Cops.

The entry gate is low. You can become a cop even if you're not too bright. There are even cases where people sued because the reason they didn't get in was they were overqualified for the position.

The reality. People who need authority and respect but can't achieve it without a gun and a badge are naturally drawn to a career where you get a gun and a badge. So there are a lot of egomaniacs with no steak behind the sizzle driving around loving the sound of their own sirens.

The authority. The prior point creates a culture of guys being "above the law". The assholes. The bad apples. The jerks. The idiots with a gun. These are all well documented and pervasive stereotypes because it is a truth. This is why "Cops suck" is endemic in culture.

The thin blue line. The idea that you cover for your cop buddies, because you and your coworkers are the tiny division between order and anarchy, so you have to stick together, regardless of whether your partner is a drug addicted, on the take, hooker fucking dirtbag. Because he's YOUR dirtbag, you don't rat him out. The police don't police themselves.

The hypocrisy. Cops are above the law. Literally. They have an instant pass with judges, they have an instant pass to push the limits of behavior, they have an instant pass to act however they want and create whatever smokescreen they wish to rewrite reality to fit their own narrative. Like women. You don't need responsibility or accountability as a cop.

The arrogance. This ties into the thin blue line, and the idea that they are above the law because without them, the world would devolve instantly into chaos. That's way wrong. If you pull all police out of a country, it'll find it's equilibrium. The burgalars will get shot, the drunks will kill themselves in car crashes. The addicts will overdose and die. It'll be a less civilized region, yes. But why is that a bad thing if you're alpha? Cops protect the lowest common denominator segment. Fuck that. Encouraging two retards to fuck and making 3 retarded babies is not on my list of building a better world.

The profession attracts many who shouldn't be in the profession.

Like the president. "If you want the job, then you should be prohibited from getting the job".

Being a cop sucks. You deal with shit everyday.

But cops suck, because they allow themselves to become shitty because of that.

I'm sure there are good cops out there. But the overwhelming majority of US police shouldn't be issued a fucking badge, let alone a gun.

Cops suck. Because they're designed to suck.

They are treated like assholes by society because they allow their brotherly assholes free reign.

Don't be a cop. It's weak, feminine, and externally validating.

I retired as a police officer last year. Sigh, so much of what is written about police is absolute garbage. For the record, get this thru some of your heads. The police are not in cahoots with the government. The police keep order and enforce laws that "we all have" demanded be in place for the most part. If we all woke up tomorrow, and the police were suddenly all disappeared, this country would go to absolute shit in a heartbeat. Think Mogadishu. I am not exaggerating at all. Go into any major city with the police gone and the savages would be running amok. You want your family and loved ones to deal with that?

It is amazing that some of you want to do away with all police. What then? After the anarchy you same ones will be wanting to have something done about it. I read where an anarchist wrote about "security collectives or co-ops or some damn bullshit as coming together to perform those functions. Really? So you hate police because you aren't "in charge" but it would be fine if you were in charge? Wow. That is straight up communist revolutionary thinking right there. Which goes back to my belief that a bunch of the "anti cop" hate are just people that cant stand to not be in charge or to be held accountable.

Someone made a comment about harassing people with traffic laws. Let me ask you, how many bad accidents have you worked? Caused by someone who was violating those very same traffic regulations. Sure there are some who are what we called "traffic Nazis", and we didn't care for them either. But if I was out driving/patrolling and you pulled something on the road that made me go "WTF" then yeah you got stopped and were given a ticket. My family drives on those roads and so do yours. If you needed a knot yanked in your ass because you were driving like a fucktard, I would give it to you with no problem. And for the record, my ticket to warning ticket ratio was about 10 to 1. If you got a real ticket from me you earned it.

The drug war,,,, I am to the point now where I don't give a flying F$%^ if someone wants to kill themselves with drugs or alcohol. Just keep your impaired ass off the roads. Again my and your family are out there on those roads.

And I love how everyone looks down on the profession. So you have the Supreme Court, the highest brightest minds in law, and after having weeks to debate an issue, law clerks to go look things up, prior court cases for precedent, and they still have split decisions. Yet we demand that the poor lowly patrolman, at 2:30 am in a back alley, or nasty apartment/house, make a decision in a split second, no time to debate or second guess. And if he makes that wrong decision he gets crucified. How fair is that? Even a decision made in good faith, with what fractions of a second he had, doesn't matter. Everybody wants to hang him.

To the op, if you want to be a police officer go for it. Don't forget who you are, don't be "badge heavy", and do it because you want to help people. Also realize that there are true "bad, evil" people out there that cannot behave in a civilized manner with the rest of us. Those people are what you truly are there for.

If you want to be a cop, because it's something you want to do, go for it.

I think fundamentally the best career according to redpill is

1) something YOU want to do. Not anyone else. You.
2) something that affords you "power" as according to TRP definition of power. Which is mobility, free-time, and ability to shape your life in the way you want it to be whenever you want to.

Law enforcement fucking blows. Most of your day you aren’t doing shit but harassing citizens for traffic citations or going to domestic violence calls where chances are someone got pushed, slapped, punched or something equally stupid. Depending where you are and from the sounds of your post it may never happen due to your country, maybe once or twice in your career you’ll be put in a life threatening situation.

Most of your career will be a servant to the government to find ways to grab money out of citizens for stupid shit. You will find that it is very unfulfilling.

I work as a union electrician. I just got reassigned to a contractor that does the electrical for space craft, launch pads, and associated government facilities for space exploration. I don’t want to get into too much detail as this is the internet and what/where I’m working is sensitive. Not trying to brag, but it’s pretty fucking bad ass and “red pill” work if I say so myself.

The only negative I see from being a cop is increased chance of death, and having the people you work to protect hate you.

Otherwise I'd go for it. You'll be wrestling men to the ground to put them in cuffs, you might be in firefights, you'll see all kinds of crazy shit that most people don't get to see. And on top of that, you're doing a job that is a necessity for order in any country.

Forget what people who hate cops are saying. They're simple children who don't know better. If you want to be a cop, do it.
