Don't give advice if you never had this dilemma.
I was raised in an Islamic household. Went to Islamic school. Used to be quite religious.
Came to the West. Discovered the internet. Richard Dawkins, The Amazing Atheist, and other atheist communities.
My conclusion was that in all probability, God most likely doesn't exist, but I can't be completely sure either. Agnostic atheist.
Nihilist phase: life has no meaning, so pursue pleasure. I became a complete degenerate.
Then I discovered Stoicism, other traditionalist philosophers. Learned that things such as courage, cowardice, virtue, and etc. are innate to human nature. Denying them is retarded.
Now seeing how degenerate West is becoming day by day, I want to go full religious. I'm thinking of returning back to Islam and follow all the moral practices. Not sure how to proceed.
The only problem is I can't convince myself to believe in a God anymore, but I want to adhere to moral values that will help me live a flourishing life. What to do?
