If your overthinking the first text how you gonna slide inside her? Just reply after an hour and bring something up about the conversation you had.. maybe ask “when’s your next exam or something unrelated to keep the conversation going. Don’t acknowledge the thanks for replying in a timely manner.

My text game in a nutshell

Build rapport/ comfort - try to use callback humor to remind her of your interaction or at least mention something you learned about her.
Break rapport - this can be either a tease, or a statement of disqualification.
Build comfort a little - reel it back in just a bit. Don't be overly apologetic but let her know that you're sincere
Ask out for x
I'm free x and x night this week

I'm gonna go ahead and disagree with this advice to "build rapport" through more texting. You've already met and had a conversation in person...that's more than enough. I meet up with girls after 5 messages on Tinder so you can damn well schedule a date with this chick.

"Yeah I could definitely use a study break haha. We should meet up for drinks sometime."

And then see what she says. Anything other than "that would be great" or some other affirmative answer means you forget her and move on, IF yes, then ask her when she's free this week and go from there.

You've done your job already. She's either interested or she's not. Judging from her initial text, I would guess that she is. Girls usually don't say things like "thanks for actually texting me in a timely manner" if they aren't interested. That to me is her encouraging you to set something up quickly rather than hem and haw.

You could go straight asshole and say, “I’m super busy studying for the cpa exam so if I didn’t text you then, I probably would have forgot”.

If you are really into her, then don’t text this. If she’s just some random girl that you will never see again (probably is) then text this to her. The abundance mindset has no limits. I bet she like the this message because it shows your life is busy and you don’t have time for her, so she will naturally be intrigued about your time and want your non sexual attention. Remember: men trade non sexual attention for well, sexual attention
