Why do people trust these self-help books so much? If these writers know all these "laws of power" and "how to be charismatic and manipulate people", then why do they need to write books and do youtube videos for a living? Shouldn't they be successful bazillionaires by now? It just doesn't sense to trust advice from people that don't seem to live by them.
