If you were friends and hanging out before, and that you are busy now and don't spend as much time together, it's perfectly reasonable to ask why that is. How is that a shit test? Seems like she is genuinely curious, why her friend of 7-8 years that was close to her suddenly went cold.
If a buddy of yours did that to you, wouldn't you want to know what's up as well? Or you are too proud and scared of showing "low value" by asking?
