I'm 24, she's 25.

We've been dating almost 2 years. We started dating because I thought she was hot and we fucked, she was in my class and we started spending everyday together at uni from being in the same classes. She'd sit next me, hang out with me, we'd be fucking in every broom closet we could find etc. 3 months later when the holiday's hit she'd call me up everyday and we'd go hang out etc. Early on she demanded that we become exclusive with each other. I was having some success with plates but I wouldn't be having sex 3-5 times a day like I was with her, also due to the fact we where in the same class and it was causing problems I agreed.

This has pretty much been going on for the last 2 years. Nothing drastic has changed, in fact I think the relationship got better. We still have a lot of sex and I still find her attractive. We live separately and I very rarely contact her first, 99% of the time she will call me to hang out and grab food or something. Before her I never had an LTR with several women breaking up with me when I was BP, so I think in a way I wanted to prove to myself a women could love me. In that sense I felt my abundance mentality has increased despite only being with one girl, like I know I can do it again. Also enjoy the social validation of being with a hot girl.

So what's the problem?

I feel like the edge of the sword has been blunted. I used to be sharp, scheduled and intense. I use to really put a lot of pressure on myself when I was single, mainly out of anxiety to be better everyday and managed to achieve a lot of good things. It's silly to think but I'd tense up around people, like I was always on the edge of bursting out into a full on fight with someone. Made guys hate me and women really respond to me. Now these feelings are gone. I've chilled out a bit and not everything is a life and death situation for me any more. It's kind of annoying because I don't have as much drive to be the very best like no one ever was.

I know that your 20's is the time you should be really focusing on your career, fitness and repairing all the terrible habits your parents taught you. Part of me feels like I can do that with a girlfriend, part of me things I need to be desparate to really get there.

Anyone here a bit older have any kind of experience?

TLDR

Life is better with a GF, feel like this makes me less motivated to be the best.

UPDATE: The reason I resorted to asking is evident in the comments. A lot of people have a lot of different reasons on why someone should, or should not dump a GF. I was conflicted weighing up the pro's with the con's.

I wont dump her, but I wont let her stand in my way, and if that results in her dumping me then so be it. ty.
