Tips for style:

Subscribe to a service that sends you shit every month for six months, then cancel. Send every bit of it back, but take pics of the outfits they send you that are professionally picked by a style consultant.

Then go to Ross, TJ Maxx, or Marshall's and buy stuff that is similar to what they sent you. Take that immediately to a tailor and have them alter it to fit you. Tip them well! That way, when you have a rush order, he'll move you to the head of the line.

I buy $120 Pierre Cardin shirts at Ross for $9. My tailor adjusts them to fit me for $11. Then I tip him $10. My $120 shirt is now a custom-fitted $30 shirt and when I needed a suit jacket for a wedding during prom weekend when he had tailoring shit falling out his ass, he dropped everything and did my jacket for me in 24 hours.

These comments suck dick. Style is easy.

Get a haircut every month.
Groom yourself - eyebrows, nose hair, beard trimmed and maintained, etc.
Get a basic wardrobe. V-necks are great. Basic colors. Get black, gray, and white.
Get a nice fucking pair of shoes. They don't have to be expensive or comfy. Just make sure they look good. Get two pairs - black and white.
Put some shit on your wrist. Amazon sells cheap wrist bracelets. Wear those or buy a nice (black) watch and wear that.
Cologne. Buy some. And spend 50 bucks or more on it. Thierry Muglar is my go-to.
Get one or two good belts. Brown belts are the best because they match with everything. Make sure it has a design on it.
Moisturize your face. Use Alo-vera gel. It's natural and won't fuck up your skin.
Shower before you go out. Wash everything, including your face.
This is the most important point. Wear what make you feel comfortable in. You'll be more confident if you feel at ease.

Don't be basic. Dress to impress.

This doesn't mean wear outrageous shit. Just cultivate an image you like of yourself, dress like it, and don't be afraid to stand out.

If you're worried that it will seem like your outfit was meticulously was planned (hive-mind: so gay and metrosexual right?) , FUCK IT MAN, because literally everyone plans their outfits. But some of us have more balls than others.

Clothes make you feel good, and the ladies love it, so dress up man. Dress to impress.

Work out. I won't say, 'hit the weights' but you need to do something. MMA and swimming are the two big acceptable replacements in my eyes. And both of them do spend time hitting the weights anyways so...

Clean up your diet. Decades of doctors saying that some food groups are not associated with certain skin issues are kinda full of shit. Cut milk from your diet, limit dairy. Avoid cheap junk food, favor a whole food diet.

Get at least some tan.

Get a hair cut somewhere from once a month to once every three, depending on how much work you want to spend on your hair, and how fast it grows.

Deodorant can't cover for the fact that you stink. Or, rather, there's a limit to what it can do. Shower daily. Take the time to clean everything. Cold water is preferable for numerous reason. Hot water is for a good bath at the end of a long day. After you showered (again) to get the sweat and dirt off.

Hair should demonstrate that some actual thought went into it. You'd be surprised how bad people look when they put 1 second into their hair after the shower to make it look straight when standing next to the guy who spends a whole 5 minutes with a light hand of gel.

You can either grow a beard or you can't. Almost no one can pull off the half-way look, and the ones that do understand that they still need to get rid of the pedo'stache.

Learn at least the basics of formal wear. You don't wear white socks with dress shoes, your belt is supposed to match the color of your shoes, never wear a suit that wasn't fitted to you, yada yada yada.

Casual shoes, similarly, should either look dress-y or at least just not look like fucking basketball shoes. Tennis shoes are for the tennis court. And yeah, this means you should have at least three pairs of shoes- formal, casual, sports. You also want something light for summer months, and sandals are not an option for everyone. I can't wear them because of my job, for example.

Casual clothing shouldn't make you look like a slob. Throw out old clothes with sweat stains, throw out clothes with holes in them. You can keep the graphic tee's you got in college that one time you were drunk and thought they were hysterical but save it for sleeping and / or dirty work like when you're washing the car.

I can't believe I have to say this, but do not wear whitey tighties. Colored underwear is fine. Boxers are fine. Skin adhering white cloth that picks up every last bit of dirt, stain, ass sweat, you name it? No. Hell no. I don't care how cheap it is.

Clean your fucking teeth. This means brushing, flossing, and using some form of fluoride rinse. I recommend the ones that also freshen your breath.

If your teeth are not reasonably straight, I cannot recommend investing in some good orthodontics enough. Yeah, braces suck and they're expensive but the end result is not looking like you just fell off the fucking turnip truck.

Wash your face daily. This includes things like scrubbing your eyebrows- they will collect dead skin if you don't- and getting behind your ears- dead skin will also collect there.

Read a book, stupid. All the charisma in the world won't save you from being an inarticulate ass who sounds like their parents dropped them on the head as a child repeatedly.

Agree with the lengthier comments above. Besides dressing to impress, make sure you maintain a masculine edge. Lifting is obviously necessary. Over time you'll get a feel for the styles out there and how you can appropriate them without losing your masculine edge, but you absolutely need to stand out from the basic "trendy" crowd you see in most places. Where I live, most men fall into three categories: dumpy masculine (no taste), metrosexual (no masculinity) or hipster (neither masculine nor tasteful).

A good general rule is to dress just slightly better than those around you, unless doing so would cause offense to a superior power. You want to appear sensibly better without going overboard (by maintaining that sense).

Clothes and accessories should frame you body and face in thieir best light. Bigger guys should have a two button single breasted blazer while skinny guys should go three button double breasted. Same with faces, hair, glasses, hats play down your foibles and play up your fortes.

Make your style seem effortless. Basic, well-fitting clothes. Not too skinny and not too baggy.

Choose colours that compliment your appearance, eg. skin tone, hair colour, eye colour.

Pick clothes and haircuts that are currently in fashion, but do it without looking like a dumbshit fuccboi. And dress appropriately to your age. Look at what everyone else your age is wearing. Make notes on what looks good on them and what doesn't.

My absolute go-to is a pair of jeans with knee rips & a t-shirt with an overcoat like this (optional baseball hat & loafer shoes). It turns heads.
