TurboTax is the current state of the art until someone makes something better.

You should definitely learn the ins and outs of doing your taxes. This is your finances. Unless you have some inordinately complex rich-guy scenario with multiple complicated income sources and need an expert's knowledge to minimize your tax burden, paying somebody else to do your taxes is just lazy. Like paying someone else to do any other man work around your residence while you smoke weed and play video games.

Free version of TurboTax. Takes maybe 20 minutes. I've used it since I've started filing my own taxes many years ago, never had a single issue.

I tried Credit Karma this year as I have to file Schedule C and they offered it free.

Google free file. Depending on your income, you can get free file for both fed and state taxes.

I have used turbo tax the last 5 years for myself and everyone else in my family . I highly recommend turbo tax to everyone and do your own

I did H and R and got fucked in 2015 for whatever reason. Turbotax got it done for me and in less than a week
