Met a girl at an industry event. Started with her friend/coworker first and moved to her (the hot one of the group, HB8, former waitress at the most popular sports bar in town that only hires very attractive girls). She's 30, same age as me. Her friend was very into me all night. We part ways after event but we are staying in same hotel and I find her at the bar a few hours later and approach. She seems into me 7/10. Talking with me and focusing on me, hand on my shoulder several times. My game is on point for me. I lean in closer to her and she does not move away. Later we go to some other bars and she stops focusing on me, and her friend eventually corners me, so I head off to bed. I didnt have the balls toask for her number right in themiddle of the group and in front of her friend, but she had given me her business card a little earlier.

10 min after I leave

M: This is FunkDaddy011, save my number. I want to see you again but I didn't want to embarrass you in front of your friends

(It occurred to me the next morning this was pretty beta)

H: lol so considerate! Consider you number saved

(I respond the next day, and we start texting. She takes onaverage 2+ hours to respond, sometimes shorter. I generally match her. She seems into the convo asking questions and playing along with my jokes. The next day I say again that I want to see her again but I am leaving town for a week and I will look her up when I get back. She says "sounds good".

Generally all my texts have been fewer words than hers, and some teasing and obfuscating.

I reopen her when I get back from trip and we text a few more times over a day. Then:

M: meet me for a drink Wed night

H: aw man I dont go out on weekdays. Got work and class at 7:00 on Tuesday and Thursday

M: Make it thur then. I have happy hour/early dinner meeting but I should be free by 8:15. Meet then?

H: Possibly... Alot of the time I don't get home until 8

(I reply the next day)

M: K

That was yesterday and I havent heard from her since. Where did I go wrong? Was she never really that into me? I replied with the K because I thought she wasnt that into me with the 2+ hour response time and noncommittal to meeting. Im starting to second guess it, but maybe that is just wishful thinking.
