On a first date, girl pulls phone out 15 minutes in. I state that my time is important to me and for her to let me know if she'd prefer to be using her phone. She apologizes and explains how she was letting her roommate know when she'd pick her up. No more phone. Second date, no phone. Third date we travel (to next town over) in my vehicle. I'm driving to the destination as we're talking when she receives a text. She begins texting for the next 10 minutes. I attempt to withdraw my attention, but not sure how I go about it in a vehicle apart from ignoring her, which just seems butthurt. I can't exactly get up and leave, should I have turned the car around and drove back?

I'm at a loss. How could I have handled this situation to let her know what she was doing was not acceptable?
