Fair call, it’s a nice/polite way to end the conversation. If your rapport was good then it probably wouldn’t have any adverse impact.

Personally i’d say something like: “Glad to hear, now get some sleep. I need you in good form for our post exam celebrations”

1) it’s less nice/formal 2) it’s more push/pull - i.e do this/get that 3) it closes the convo and frames a second date in the intermediate future.

It’s also not sexual so won’t blow your chances if she’s not there on the comfort front and will likely elicit her leaving the last word like ‘I can’t wait’. Then you can wait and re-engage.

In terms of your question, just be a human and text her. You’re curious, she’s probably into you.

My thoughts prob differ from TRP on this (i.e only text logistics) but you’ll weed out those who are dis-interested and quickly.

In terms of texting do the reverse though, send a brief text to see how she is/some quick witty banter. I wouldn’t ask for the date in the first text as it’s like “oh cool, just set up a date and awkwardly ignore me for two weeks.” In my experience, if I can’t date in the next few days (i.e for practical reasons) then a date request followed by no contact leads to flakes. Keep her warm by showing some interest but leaving some mystery. No “how’s your day” shit.

Assuming you’re high SMV and that she was genuinely attracted to you then I think you played it too cold.

You asked her to text you (qualify herself), she did (seemingly enthusiastically), she complimented you and the date... and then you somewhat shot her down with a limp/weak text.

If she’s a normal girl and decent SMV then given the fact that you met on tinder, no doubt she’ll have options.

You haven’t fucked her yet so you probably don’t have enough rapport to warrant her outright chasing to beg for a date in which case you need to at least dangle the carrot.

Remember it’s the man’s job to lead. So either ask her on a date, or with the next girl at least say something like “Glad to hear trouble, i’ve got a [busy week/fortnight] but let’s go for a drink again sometime”.. then you wait, then you ask.

No contact isn’t an effective pulling strategy in the early stages, especially for tinder girls. Personally, I only limit my contact to logistics when i’ve got a date lined up in the next 1-4 days. Any longer than that then you need to keep her warm somewhat because if you ain’t, some other dude will be.
