Posting on a throwaway because my TRP account is fairly well known and I'd prefer my post history or general background not potentially effect replies.

Went on a date with a cop, it went really well. Although, I have general reservations about LTR'ing a cop period. Namely, this police dept. is >95% male, I believe she is one of only 3 female officers on the entire force and the only one <30 years old.

More context, possible tl;dr:

Chick is a Greek-American, when I was in high school I actually worked at a restaurant owned by some of her extended family. I still casually stay in contact with the owner of the restaurant and his wife. They're a great family (e,g no broken homes, everyone has their shit together, fairly tight knit) and all around well liked in the neighborhood.

This is a neighborhood in a major city that is 98% Irish, Italian, Greek or Dominican. Most of us got along real well, although tbh the Greeks were probably more isolated than any other group because they were the only kids who didn't go to CCD (catholic sunday school for ppl not in US/unaware).

There's a lot of +'s to this chick outside of her work. 26 years old, She lives alone (big + for me), doesn't party, knows how to cook and clean obviously, comes from a good family, had a long LTR with an Italian guy her family didn't approve of and they split up a year or so ago and she's been single ever since. She's a pretty big workaholic and puts in 50+ hours every week. I'm 100% her family will approve of me.

For what it's worth, my SMV is significantly higher than hers. I make ~3x more money, have a lot more friends, and am generally more outgoing.

Pretty much the only negatives I have for this chick are that she's a cop working in a super male dominated field, and that she's not the smartest broad on earth. The major reason she's a cop is basically that she couldn't qualify for any other job and the local police chief was a frequent customer at her uncle's pizza joint. The chief basically hired her as a diversity hire and a favor to the family from what I can tell.

Thoughts?
