Let me keep this brief: went on a Tinder date with a girl who was visiting from another city (I'm in NYC, she's from Canada). We are walking and talking, end up discussing how she is a humanitarian, and loves doing good, but also reveals she is a bit of a deviant (6 tattoos, likes to get in trouble, thought it would be hot if I did something illegal, etc). Our conversation goes extremely well, laughing, flirtatious, push/pull, touching her hand and commenting on her tattoo. I am very comfortable around people and women, and felt with the initial attraction there, why the fuck would this not lead to something.

We get ready to leave and she offers to pay half the check, I decline and take care of it (it was exorbitant $100+, but whatever I probably shouldn't have covered it, she has no idea how much it was). We end up at a bar next to her hotel because she offered to buy me a beer and man this girl can drink. I tell her she intrigues me and I want to know more than surface level and we start talking about her sexual fantasies. Then there was a brief silence and I was just looking at her and the mood changed. I still maintained frame and stayed calm, saying, "Cool me neither". She goes on to call me a liar, and I sensed just discomfort in the air. We ended up leaving, she hugged me and said "nothing is going to happen". So I just let her back up to her hotel and left.

I honestly think that her being openly attracted to me, us having a great vibe and her just being the person she is made this situation impossible to achieve the desired outcome of sex. What could I have done differently if anything?
