Not in a LTR now but have had multiple ones over the years and I would say there's a multitude of reasons:

Bored with hookup culture. The main way a lot of younger guys like me get laid is by going out to bars and clubs and picking up chicks there. I'm only 22 but after 4-plus years of going out almost every friday and saturday during college I'm just bored with gaming chicks at those settings.
Sex with one night stands isn't as good as sex with an LTR. For me personally, sex with someone you have a great connection with is better than some random thot. First there's that connection, secondly once you fuck a lot with a person you know each other's preferences.
Tons of sex with little to no effort. You can get laid basically anytime you want. My last LTR lasted about 1.5 years and the only time she turned down sex was when she had a terrible stomach cramp.
The relationship itself. Having an intimate connection with a woman can feel good and be fun. Sharing experiences, traveling, etc.
In my BP days I would convince myself I had found "the one" LOL
Some people just prefer to be monogamous.

It seems like a lot of the guys here get bored and tired of the hookup game. Me personally I'm getting disinterested in going out. I had a bachelor party last night and I decided to stay home (i had a 4 hour tattoo session on my chest so I was pretty beat) I do want to practice my approaching and pick up so that's my main motive for going out but my main motive should be to have a good time.

If I were to get into an LTR it would be with someone who enhances and supplements my lifestyle. Food, surprises, sex of course, and a healthy lifestyle

The woman I am with I have known on and off 17 years. Shes my age and we met in high school. No woman or man can touch her character and work ethic.

She is a hard woman and a giver.

No one has loved me more or longer. I still assume it will end but its fine
