I've struggled with depression since I was a young teenager. It helps partly explain my affinity for all things introverted: video games, reading, sleeping, being anti-social and what not.

Does anyone else here deal with depression? It's not an every day occurrence, and some days are much better than others. Unfortunately, the past 3-4 days have been particularly bad. I'm questioning whether or not my major at school is worthwhile, even though I've spent almost two years on it. I haven't lifted/worked out hardly at all, I've been eating terrible food and drinking soda, basically a lot of self-fulfilling awfulness.

The worst part is that I don't care. I find that I don't care about anything lately. Not myself, not anyone around me, not my job, not my education. I've seen several therapists over the years and tried going on pills, but they're short term solutions, usually. I could sit on the couch smoking weed and playing video games until I keel over and die, and I feel like that's the only enjoyment I'll ever find in life. I've never worked a job that I didn't absolutely despise after a year, never found any particular point in living day after day, but of course I'm too much a coward to kill myself.

I don't know what to do, and this seemed as bad a place as any to vent.

Edit: Just like I figured, I feel quite a bit better today. Decided to check out the gym at school, I'm gonna go there after some classes and earlier in the morning before others. Also got set up with some tutors for a couple classes that I'm struggling in. It's gonna be an uphill slog but that's just the way it goes. Thanks for the responses everyone.
