He's probably socially clueless you two sound 17. He thought the initial greeting was an invite. Learn to be more assertive. Now that its after the fact you tell him exactly what you said here. In the future you drop hints that are more obvious until he leaves or ask to speak to him in another room. Or just text him or something brah fuck.

What does "still in monk mode 6 months later" even mean? All you are in is a perpetual state of self improvement like everyone else here.

I had a plate like this very recently. She had me come over on the first date to meet her parents and I still banged at my place later that night. It was an awful experience with her parents though. Then every time I'd txt she'd mention how I have to "come in for a beer" (I'm in a small town for the summer and her family were massive redneck alcoholics). I knew better and always made excuses or showed up obscenely late. The last time I ever saw her, I skipped the parental interaction very overtl…

It's not integrated with the schools at all. The chapters are smaller, less funded. They rarely have official frat houses and if they do its just a student house that a bunch of people in the frat rented together. I've found most frats to be worthless in Canada. Maybe Western, Queens or even McGill has some worthwhile ones but I don't know.

So as to not tarnish your name to ensure you don't tarnish your chances at getting laid with those you aren't talking to? Definitely sounds like the retarded high school mindset I remember

"Chemical imbalance" is such a cop out crutch of the politically correct generation. I take drugs, I take nootropics but none of these are your solution to being a pussy. I think this guy thought you literally meant a pill.

I just had an email correspondence with him about how I can cancel counselling at my own volition and he said I surely can. Are you saying I should directly tell him I want to cancel the sessions asap? I feel this reflects poorly on my character in his eyes.

The reason I made this post is to understand why or how I can make a foolish move here. I understand that you're a lawyer and you know best but you aren't really elaborating on your reasoning. There are too many traps out here to take anyone's word alone. What would be a foolish move? A phone call is preferable to email? Wouldn't I want a paper trail? I'm not worried about him dissuading me via phone. What exactly should I say, a simple thanks but I will no longer be attending? Or should I just …

I'm just now reflecting on some of the shit I did. At one point he had me writing these sort of logs of activities to show him what I've done since I last attended his session (he had a thought log too but I refused to do that one). I told him that I ran with the idea since he first introduced it and I had an excel spreadsheet of mundane blue pill self improvement activities in each row, with each column coordinating with a specific date. I'd color in the activity Red if I failed to do it and Gr…

So this hidden ulterior motive thing is new to me. Its how the world works man. Read the Gervais principle, read The Prince, read the 48 Laws of Power. I used to be overtly honest, to my own demise. The successful are grand manipulators. And I think you are also correct in that far more people are lifting weights and bulking up successfully year-by-year. Our fathers grew up with horrible nutrition guidance and no YouTube's for form.

beautiful. i bet the counselor is bragging to his friends that he just tamed some punk. What's crazy is I received the opposite of help from /r/legaladvice. They are a great subreddit and I was smart enough to not mention sexual assault. I did receive very good advice that set me on this course from a PM from a lawyer (he hooked me up with a student lawyer who hooked me up with a 10/10 lawyer). It was a crash course in machiavellianism, navigating lawyer double speak, placing bait for counsellors. Is there a term, similar to the 'red herring', where you indicate a perceived false problem for yourself to someone and then appear to have solved it before their eyes (i.e. I set the stage for problems to be solved for the counsellor and progressively appeared to have solved them before his eyes)? I feel like there has to be a niftier way to express this.

I don't think you should really ask him how you're doing. To be honest in your case it seems like he approves much stronger than my father, unsolicited, telling me to avoid getting "too big" and labeling me a narcissist with prodding questions like why do I even need muscles?

I find it the most strange when you start lifting and your own father tries to shame the behaviour. I think it's just innate human behaviour but for different reasons for men and women. The women are testing you as a viable mate. I'm not sure what the men are doing. One would say they are trying to remain the alpha or that they are testing your strength to be in their pack, but then why is your own father doing it when he will always remain the alpha and you will always remain in his pack? Perha…

Thanks, but I'm mostly looking for a machiavellian way to cancel the sessions. It is fairly obvious to me that I can simply stop attending. I think I came up with a good enough solution while typing this. That I should just say I'm switching counsellors.

OmLaLa isn't saying to not approach. You're saying that you've been not engaging women due to social anxiety. That is the opposite of OmLaLas advice, he is saying engage all you want but you seal the deal (pass shit tests) with assumed mastery. Women aren't ever going to open you.

Doesn't matter what I claim about me in any individual post or comment, what matters is building in-roads on developing my contrarian attitude and producing recognition in the individuals who are listening, even peripherally. He also has the answer to every single question with a glorified "trump status" outlook of a billionaire playboy. With a patronizing tone. His favorite line in response to specific questioning is "I'm travelling right now but I'll get back to you as soon as I'm X" yet claims he doesn't own a computer. To be honest I don't give a shit if he doesn't lead the life he claims to lead but he needs to slow down the posting as it just reads like TRP theory experiencing itself. In every thread.

Your hyper activity on this forum is suspect given the attention you constantly bring to your many businesses and "producer never consumer" mentality preaching. The small glimpses you reveal of your perfect life are, well, too perfect and not consistent with each other. But what caught my personal ire was your claim that you have never participated in casual sex.

Alcohol is an acquired taste. On that note you are far better off never falling in to the trap that is alcohol. Its a crutch, expensive and leads to trouble. However don't be an uptight prude about not drinking. To answer your question, for the most part if you want to lead a normal life you will have to accept alcohol with women AND men as it is very prevalent in western society and isn't going away. You can check out if it's that big of a deal to you, but I don't see why it would be.

Well said. All of the trials I've been through have made me not only confident but collected at all times. Some fail to these trials, fortunately I didn't. Yes it is his fault if he has a dead bedroom. He created the situation and failed to remedy it appropriately. Also you're clearly biased. I beat a sexual assault charge at my insanely liberal campus... I went away for an internship for a year and came back, everything was tumblred out noticeably in one year. Took me 10 months and $20,000 to beat it. I hired the best lawyer in the area and spent my senior year in a forced monk mode. No, I addressed this elsewhere in the thread. I am specifically addressing drugs that target the GABA receptors. My point is that these drugs are viewed more as "vitamins" or "nootropics" than they are recreational drugs similar to alcohol. I don't care if you use them, I'm advising to not run with the pretense that they're entirely safe and completely helpful to your life. They're fun, like alcohol and should be used in moderation. I'm mostly offering my 2 cents to onlookers that don't use the …

You can't really debate these people that defend it. All you can do is tell them what they will eventually realize. I was once this guy or the guy above. You have to learn for yourself. Very few people just avoid alcohol from the jump. They do/see things that have them avoid alcohol. Same goes for legal nootropics/drugs that work on the opiod or GABA receptors (same receptor as alcohol). It is very telling when they get overly defensive about the use of a substance in the face of advice.

Caffeine won't make you blackout or overdose. Not even in the same ball park, Kratom is closer to alcohol and morphine than caffeine. And I don't take it for social anxiety. Some do, I don't. Mine is more for work related stress because I work in a high stress environment subject to constant deadlines. Adapting to stress is a strength. Stress avoidance is a weakness. I mainly take it for pain relief for a very bad back which I used to take many, many opiod painkillers for. It's amazing how krato…

There's a lot of phenibut and Kratom praise around here. These are addictive drugs that can cause many problems in your life. Take it from someone previously addicted to a legal benzo (etizolam). I'm still repairing aspects of my life that were damaged. There is no advantage to these drugs, they are simply short cuts to living with a crutch. You are learning to be social with Kratom. How is that going to help you in the long term? It's not. You may get some fleeting lays. The only good thing to …

Yes I agree. The point I'm not conveying effectively is that I believe the average person that uses these terms does not mean what you are saying here when they refer to introverts and extroverts. I'm not saying introverts and extroverts are synonymous with alpha beta. I'm saying average Beta Joe using the term introvert in 2015 is really referencing himself as a beta. I guess the conversation is inherently futile.
/r/askTRP13/07/15 08:24 PM
0

Obviously... I'm not referencing a series of trials or the word of God here. I'm talking semantics in popular culture.
/r/askTRP13/07/15 08:21 PM
2

My entire point is that people don't enjoy living in their head. They just feel they have to due to being beta and self-describe as an introvert rather than correctly as a follower of men (not a leader). They are beta due to their own experiences, thoughts and beliefs (limiting ones such as introversion).
/r/askTRP13/07/15 08:20 PM
1

These aren't my intended definitions. I am literally equating extroversion to alpha male and introversion to beta male. If that is the message you've received that is my (the writer's) fault.
/r/askTRP13/07/15 08:10 PM

You trying to "help them" or "fix them" is as annoying as them trying to contain you or keep you BP. Stop doing that. That's why they don't like you.

You are comparing quiet people to introverts and loud people to extroverts. These are not the popular (albeit moving) definitions of the concepts.
/r/askTRP13/07/15 08:05 PM
1

Why are you equating obnoxious and overcompensation to extroversion? Why do you believe "extroverts" are not stoic and reserved when they want to be? People known as "extroverts" aren't inherently attention-seekers. These aren't popular culture definitions nor actual definitions of the concepts, these are your definitions.
/r/askTRP13/07/15 08:02 PM
0

I believe this to be a rationalization from "introverts" (betas) to find a weakness in "extroversion" so that they can compare the two and believe that they are "equal but different," rather than extroversion being the plain superior trait. I don't think that exists, I think its plain bullshit. I believe "extroverts" seek out social settings and to relieve loneliness the same amount we do. They are just not calibrated to dealing with it as effectively because frankly, they don't have to. Lonely …

I've self-described as an introvert in the past. I consider the entire battery concept to be more of an anxiety thing. You prefer (not need) to be alone to go over what has occurred and settle any lingering anxieties about the situation. You need to recalibrate your frame and whatnot. I believe the "extrovert" simply has learned to manage their anxieties and manage their frame with little downtime through exposure.

This will probably just bore the OP but it is what he should do. But I reccommend approaches that are easy to make habits. Download the strong lifts app on your phone. Go to the strong lifts website and watch the videos of each lift. Hit the gym 3 times a week for a couple months and then gradually add the accessories. Switch to a different program with higher frequency once you've mastered all the compounds.

Weed has plenty of negative effects, it's on the lower end of harmful substances but it is still a harmful substance. The negatives far out weigh the benefits of the drug. That said, smoke if you want. You have one life to live, just don't kid yourself. Anyways your thread makes no sense you just figured out it has negative effects yourself. As an 18 year old I highly, highly recommend you stop smoking, particularly alone and every day. I've been there myself, plenty of us have. I only smoke now…

Most people harbour these thoughts. Everyone has racial biases, everyone has biases based on attractiveness. It's part of being human, your mind creates these biases to serve a purpose. My rough evo psych idea is that such biases allowed you to tell friend from predator quick enough to escape or to tell a evaluate the health or genetics of a proper mate. Certainly these biases still serve the exact same purpose, although they are also culturally constructed as well experientally constructed now.…

We don't know what you mean by longer hair. Sort of long hair but up is super in right now. I'm not talking man buns (that's also sort of in, in a particular way where you don't look like a grub) I'm talking just having longer hair and up. A complex style goes a long way but is difficult to maintain. Everyone's look is different, everyone understands their own hair better. If the world worked in absolutes this world would be a boring place. Bitches hate boring.

I believe this to be the correct mindset but I do not believe this to be true. Not every time. The very insecure and/or inexperienced ones aren't thinking this. You can easily spook an insecure girl if you don't calibrate and make it obvious you want her, otherwise she will think she's not good enough.

Your retarded children argument isn't even in the same ballpark. Firstly it's highly illegal so we will drop the children part. No one here wants to fuck a retard, period. Your argument hinges on the belief that all sex is equal. It's not, else we would be chasing acne riddled fat chicks. I had a roommate with aspergers. Stand up guy but clinically autistic. You can't seem to wrap your head around people going to bed at different hours than you. Being the 'top 5%' is mostly people skills. You also don't need to get a job within your field, any bachelors degree opens many doors. It is just not advisable to pursue such a degree. Which is the point of this post, it's just speaking in too absolute terms.

Honestly, no. Depends on the cost. If it's cheap the therapist will help you see blatant issues they see with your attitude. Otherwise they will just create issues and/or treat you like an idiot. Once I figured out what the fuck was going on with my court appointed therapist I just created bait issues I could solve in front of their eyes in a short time frame. I just read this post. I'm trying to make sense of it but the author was horrible. You're recommending people on TRP to 'upgrade to modafinil' when you yourself have never even used it? You're basing your opinions off two blogger nobodies? Find better role models. Happens to me more than it doesn't. Stop apologizing. Seriously. Also it's a complete non issue. It's only an issue because you're making it one. Your entire angle is wrong. You should be concerned about cumming for your own pleasure, not hers, if at all (I'm not that concerned, it gives me confidence). Something's a bit off with your posting dude. Seems like you're overcompensating. Maybe this is coming off in your real life conversations? How tall are you? You're also putting far too much emphasis in aesthetics when it's more about frame, demeanour and image. This post sounds like a parody all the condescending Finance majors in their senior year of business school watching Wolf of Wall Street.

To me it sounds like hiring common sense with an elitism that they have now seen the world and come back to share their elite exclusive experiences on the other side.

OP sounds like every single person I went to Business school with that was an elitist in Finance. I did a marketing degree and a post-grad in Advertising Copywriting. They shat on me for my whole degree for going that route but now I have a fulfilling job as a creative and quite frankly I don't keep up with them. One time I drunkenly got it out of them that they were pursuing their degree for women. Seriously. They thought Finance was going to land them bitches rather than self-improvement or si…

Yes people should only experience the world in places you deem fit. Let him make his own opinion, he's clearly already booked it. Maybe he will prefer Ibiza. Maybe you were just unsuccessful or in a bad emotional place or went during the wrong time. But most likely you have never been and are regurgitating what you've heard because that seems like the type of person that would tell someone their vacation destination is wrong.

I'm not even sure how to approach your condescending manner as if most posters here don't already have elite physiques. Firstly your whole concept of need makes no sense. People have varying goals. If your goal is to "be in shape" at age 40 then sure you can do a few body weight exercises and feel great. If you want advanced strength and definition you will need much, much more.

I have not been to the destination. However my advice would be to go in with momentum. As in start being social right now, today, where you are. Not just night time momentum, you will have all day and probably make more interesting connections in the day time at the destination and in real life. So start being social, momentum matters so much. It's very difficult to just show up somewhere and ramping it up to maximum capacity and so much easier to go in with momentum. Oh yea, and check out some …

It's not that big of a mistake. I'm impressed you had the forethought to retain your old job under your excitement for being selected. My father married and had kids and divorced when he was in his mid-late 30s. After his 50th birthday he began bringing ladies around (as his kids grew older he felt more comfortable with it). He met some lookers off internet dating. I agree with your post but I think you are foolish to think he didn't have the foresight to expect this. It is very, very obvious and insulting to Roosh's intelligence. I think he absolutely did but just couldn't maintain frame and would rather paint the picture as someone who got caught off guard than someone who collapsed. That being said he could have done so much worse. If you go over to his forum there are some interesting analysis of his performance and how stacked it was. I certainly woul…

Roosh calls it a stalemate in his response video. I have to agree with him; it is unlikely the segment changed anyone's views on either side. However, I don't think Roosh came out a loser. Oz & Company came off as parodies of themselves... When that panel of fatties hit screaming utter bullshit at him, and the closing skit was - well I can't even explain what that was. I think Roosh came out the winner when the very next segment and all of the commercials during the show were on weight loss.

I appreciated this post. I purposely kicked the next appointment as far down the road as I could for some terribly contrived plot to have the case hopefully settle before then (which is impossible as the case is hinging on the therapy, which I now realize). I think I may email him requesting a closer date.

I respect Dr. Drew (and am a Carolla fan). Do you have any resources related to what you've just presented in your post? It may be helpful to spend the day before my next session going through this type of stuff. Also nothing is court ordered. This therapist is "at my request" but really detrimental to a plea type of deal in getting the charges withdrawn. Apparently he has quite the background of being influential in cases, which is why I'm not looking to swap therapists hastily.
/r/askTRP11/04/15 11:51 AM
1

After giving it some thought... This therapist's specialty is tightly related to the charges I am facing. Reading through, I honestly don't feel I need this type of therapy. But then again, I'm certain I don't deserve the charges either. I suppose the reason I've been recommended to him is because it will help my case tremendously. That is probably why the lawyer called a full hour meeting to review my treatment. Its very critical to the case without him actually saying so.

I haven't asked anyone outside of lawyers. I don't present my legal issues to anyone in my life. This is my only outlet. All my decisions have been at my own accord or by advice of one or another lawyer. I appreciate your perspective and was just looking to dive deeper in to it. I'm clearly questioning your perspective as well, I don't know what to believe as I've been thrown into this machiavellian world unrequested. A lot of this is a mindfuck to decipher. I've been told by someone in law to not tell a lawyer everything because the less he knows the more he can stretch things ethically himself. Everyone else says to tell the lawyer every minute detail. Going over the meeting with my lawyer today is a puzzle of the context you are presenting with the one I have presented. Its all doublespeak. But I know this lawyer knows what he's doing and he constantly told me that I can just not go, that I asked to go to …

You're presenting yourself as a sexual entity. If you're getting rejected you're likely already fucked or you can try again once you build more comfort. You need more investment such as kisses. If you decide you want to see the girl again during the first date have her invest in you emotionally and physically. The ones invalidating rape as a problem are the ones inflating it's occurrence. If cats were regularly found as road kill every morning you wouldn't be as concerned over dead cats. Now if it were raining dead cats we would have to deal with the problem tomorrow. But if someone told you it's likely raining dead cats in Somalia right now you'd be skeptical. Add skepticism to the mix of rape inflation and here we are today.

It takes life experiences to come to conclusions. So what if she had to experience what life as a man is like until she understood the problems that came along with it? Was a burning bush supposed to tell her?

You said you received a blowjob for the first time last year and you'd rather fap than have sex. Most of your sexual experience is with pornography. You have associated sex with porn and masturbation. Cut that out completely (I mean completely) and watch your libido become overwhelming.

If lunch date is the only option then it is a far better alternative than texting. Just don't become expected. Random unexpected lunch date that isn't boring. The POTUS finds time to hit the gym and date his wife. I'm sure you can buddy.

Read philosophy. You're addicted to instant gratification. Taper off of it.

You're getting ridiculously far ahead of yourself. Come back and ask when you've at least had a taste. It's very likely she just gave you her number for more tips. Even if she is interested you'd have to have adequate game to meet up with her. Then make a move and bang her. You've skipped all of this. Go try and bang her and see if you can. By asking here I feel like you're procrastinating putting your ego on the line. It's like if I asked if buying a yacht was worth it when I'm a millionaire.

Humble brag? Don't just say hey. Sounds like any guy spamming her facebook inbox with bait. Unless you're smooth as fuck she's not going to make the effort with nothing to work with. If they are sending their names shortly after the encounter then say something witty about what you just discussed. Waiting a day for this kind of response seems ridiculous and counter to your goal. Establish the medium of communication. Otherwise I'd time your texts for a time of day based off information you know …

This could have been so much worse. You don't have a misdemeanor or injury. Just say what happened if someone actually asked. sounds legendary as a response if you aren't bringing it up. You could even casually tell the tale if you're among friends. I'm not sure why you're anxious about this. If you dislike your behavior all you can do is learn from it. I'd advise to not black out as you will get arrested or injure yourself. But you didn't. So relax.

I don't think it's "what you're comfortable with" but rather what has the most net benefit to your life (including your moral or ethical code).

Every time she gets brought up a lot of people slap it back down with fair arguments. I understand their arguments as well. I feel objectivism has merit but Rand wasn't able to flush it out completely (she was only one woman less than a century ago). I am currently stuck in a place between Stoicism and Objectivism. I've been asking for a reference and everyone refers me to Natural Law to quash my concerns. Can't say they have. You are calling Objectivism Red Pill, sure. But what philosophy align…

Is there another forum for Dark Enlightenment? The subreddit is just articles being shared, often with some conspiracy feel, with no discussion or community. The discussion that occurs feels pre-pubescent.

make ourselves the best men we can be and exploit the system to its utmost. What mainstream philosophical school aligns with this idea the most? It is not stoicism, which I first thought. Is it objectivism?

I think even considering this idea that women have it easier and men have it tough, that's what makes a man a man are both bad thoughts. Get past it. Its irrelevant. I don't see it doing any good. Rather more harm. Engage the thought and never think about it again. We are two different entities.

Hey man, I've read all of these books. The points I've posed are valid criticisms of the philosophy from scholars. Meditations is not an authoritative book on Stoicism but it is my preferred one like many. Nature is nature. Don't look at it as people's preference, it is simply nature being expressed. Did you choose to like women? Your favourite food? Choose your hair colour? No. People have no say in the matter. I'd like to hear your elaboration on this point. It seems to be the area that keeps …

I understand what you're saying but "nevermind this. I'm going to stay home and read books and make money" doesn't seem very alpha either. It is also how I spend most of my time. Although I'm not watching Netflix and getting high it is a different kind of unfulfilling.
