I'm aware I could post this in /r/steroids or /r/fitness, but I'm specifically asking TRPers here.

I've been lifting natty since Nov 2013 and have had great gains. I plan on continuing this for four years total, after which I've read that lifters usually hit a point of depreciating returns, where gains can be made but a lot more work in the gym is required for those gains. Basically I want a solid foundation of natural gains, and years of experience with the lifts I do (Big Six) before I start any kind of supplement beyond caffeine, multivitamins, or muscle milk.

I watched a documentary on Netflix called Bigger, Stronger, Faster ( www.netflix.com/WiMovie/70084129 ), and about 34 minutes in the narrator explains some common myths and misconceptions about roids. Another point he makes, which over time seems to be more and more true, is that any athlete competing on a world class level is unquestionably on some kind of muscle growth supplement. The myths being discounted, and the realization that everyone on a serious level of competition is taking the stuff anyway, has really opened my eyes, and I'm more curious about it than ever.

My reasons for wanting to try roids are simple: I want to be absolutely beastly, and I want to see what the experience is like.

But what are your reasons for taking roids or not taking roids?
