Male, 6'6, 260 lbs. Overweight.
I've been consistent on the SLx5 routine for about 84 days. I added chinups and push-ups to the routine after I lost enough weight. Body exercises I intially did negatives until I was strong enough to do proper ones.
My lifts are as follows:
Squat:. 240 Deadlift: 295 Overhead Press: 100 Benchpress 145 Bent over Row:. 165 Chinups: 1-2 before failure x5 Push-ups: 15-20 before failure x5
I am happy with my results in that my posture improved enough that I actually was an inch taller then i previously thought. Also, my shoulders have 'straightened'.
However I think my upper body is disproportionately weak. In particular, the benchpress has been a source of continual frustration. I have repeatedly deloaded it because I have trouble touching the bar to my chest, though once I push the bar up past my elbows the movement is very easy in comparison.
Any resources offered are appreciated.
