I haven't seen anyone post here yet about this so I thought I might chime in. Over a year ago I found myself having some unhealthy drinking habits, and ended up having to go to a hospitable detox program. I was only there for 3 days until the withdraws ceased and they recommend to me alcoholics anonymous.

Upon arriving at AA I'm met with hugs and have tons of people reaching out to me; men and women. There is a slang term in the AA community called "13th stepping" which is when you engage in a relationship at the beginning of your recovery. This is usually frowned upon because of the high emotions involved in a relation which eventually leads to a relapse. I think its stupid because in any social situation there will be people who click. It wasn't until I reached around two months of clean time did I really start making friends with the regular and hanging out with everyone.

There was a girl there we will call Katie. Well Katie had some self esteem issues and 11 months of sobriety. Average looks I'd say a 6/10. I ended up hanging out with her twice and the 2nd time we fucked. She was sex starved, she even told me she went to different AA groups looking for dick. I fucked her 3 times before I got bored of her neediness.

There was another girl in my homegroup we will call Denise. Much like Katie she had some self esteem issues and was newer to sobriety than I was. I took her under my wing and invited her over to study to literature. She was reluctant at first because of some trust issues and being abused ect. It took a while but I got it in.

Unfortunately word spread I was 13th stepping girls around my 90 days sober mark. Looking back there was so much opportunity I should of jumped on. I even tried going to a different group (there are like 20+ in my metro check out the AA website) but everyone seemed to know about me. When it was time to share someone goes "there is someone here who is going to different groups looking for girls to take advantage of" and I was met with passive aggressiveness whenever I approached anyone. I have however, heard what I was doing is not uncommon. I never planned to get sober I was just bored and after 90+ days I started drinking again. I thought it was impossible to find women outside of bars.
