Context: Met a chick on Hinge, first date at a restaurant (bad idea I know). Decided to split the bill afterwards because I went up to order alone and paid for the whole thing. She said to send her my account details etc. After dinner I decided to end the date early because I wasn’t feeling it and had work the next day.

Texted her the following day with my account number, also said something like “Last night was fun”.

Fast-forward almost a week and I hadn’t received a reply. Sent her this last night: “I guess that feminism stuff goes out the window when you actually have to pay” (she mentioned that her parents raised her to be a feminist or some shit). Got a reply a few hours later with the usual excuses: “Forgot to respond blah blah blah.” She also said that I could’ve reminded her in a nicer way. Got the money today.

Was my message too harsh? I debated not sending anything but it didn’t sit right with me. Wasn’t about the money, just the principle
