Bitter that everything I expected and believed about love and relationship happiness was just bullshit. I wasted years of my life on this idealism.

WHAT DO YOU WANT? Do you want to have sex a lot? Do you want a long term relationship? Do you want kids? Do you want to build an empire? Do you want to chill out in the woods on your own? Do you want to focus time on friendships? Do you want to party? Do you want to become an expert at something?

Figure out what you want, and then your path will be clear.

If you've read the side bar then you'll remember that one of the stages is anger/biterness. It'll pass.

First, realize - I mean really realize, that hypergamy is not bug, it's a feature. Start thinking and meditating on how can this benefit you. Take some time every day to ponder how you will put this knowledge to use. Reflect back on how this knowledge - had you had it then -would have made your life better, and then imagine how it will improve your life in the future.

It's a bitter pill to swallow. This is going to so very cliche, but the inner peace you'll soon experience, combined with the freedom you have, and the extra happiness, less stress ... man, it feels good! You'll see how your past was a necessary ingredient in your current joy, and you won't be as angry about it.

Well yea, doesn't life just kinda suck right now for some reason, even though you're taking the right steps?

I would reframe it as being Resentful, not Bitter. Patrice O'Neal has some good stuff about how he resents the amount of effort a man has to go through in order to be at the same level as a girl (in order to just say "hello").

A lot of it comes from social contract, meaning that girls/weak-guys will take advantage of the taste of perceived power, and don't respect the fact that you could actually throw them through the wall physically. Sure, you wouldn't actually do that, but acknowledging the fact that you could would diffuse this pent up frustration going on in your head.

It might be time to take a step back from girls and figure out what you actually want to do, vs what others have told you to do. Yes, that's a MGTOW approach for a short bit, but it'll help you align with what you "truly" want to do in life.

Anyways, it might be a phase, but that's what I've been doing recently, and it's helped re frame that anger and push it towards something positive.

A few weeks isn't enough time to get past the fact you wasted a significant portion of your life. The good news is it's not too late. And when you get where you need to be, the hate will transition to acceptance.

I currently have this issue to. Over the past couple months I've just learned it's about how you view everything within your state of mind. So a relationship may not follow the same kind of path you want and the idea of love is a little skewed. I still have the same ideals that I had before. Just remember that just because you're within a system you don't have to change why you do things, just know cause and effect. As a bonus prize too a lot of TRPers tend to go a little far with their ideals because there is ALOT of room for narcissism within understanding how attraction and people work. So my advice to you, still be the sweet and idealistic... just realize that everything you do has cause and effect.
