Are you asking which characteristics women like about men?

Or which characteristics are typical of men?

Because these are 2 very different aspects.

Men like to fiddle around with things. As in, material and immaterial objects. Women love the idea of that but they hate seeing it put into practice when it conflicts with you focusing your time on them.

Men have emotions and like to get attention and affection from women. Again, women like the idea of a man with empathy and compassion. But women find nothing more repulsing than seeing a man express his emotions, especially when they are about a woman.

Almost all of the things that make men men are in conflict with what women want from men. Hence why you can't just blue-eyedly go to a girl, be yourself and be honest and score points that way.

The only "manly" trait that is not in conflict with women is the male simpishness. Meaning your desire to provide for them, protect them and to courtship them because the benefits of that are obvious to women. Whereas the benefits of everything else about men are difficult for women to grasp because to them the opposite gender is seemingly from a different, unknown world.

Male values include calmness, modesty, honor and loyalty, as well as a sense of justice. Whereas women treasure values like passion, openness, tolerance or kindness.

In many ways the sexes are opposites, putting each other at conflict of interests.
