She wanted to marry you (she proposed to YOU!) and bring you home but you decided that you wanted to be with an Indian woman as a life partner.

"Should I lie" is the wrong way to think about it. You don't wanna lie, but you refuse to give women any correct information that they want about you. You don't owe them.
