So here's some backstory: Keep in mind that the girl in question and I are both in highschool. I ended an 11 month relationship about two weeks ago due to a loss of emotional & physical attraction. There's a girl that I had struck up conversation with and casually flirted with a few times before, and I recently learned that she's moving decently far away at the end of the semester, so I thought I'd try my luck for something casual before she leaves since I don't need to worry once she's gone. Anyways, I have a few classes with her and we've hung out with mutual friends a few times. My main confusion is that in person she shows interest and starts conversations with me, but when I go off of that and text her I'm met with boring small talk or no reply. Should I stop texting her, or stop persuing entirely?

Notes:

  1. I had a brief "thing" with her best friend who I almost pulled from her boyfriend in less than a week, and took to homecoming last year. Could be why the girl in question is acting like she is?

  2. She's not the only girl im talking to either.

  3. She's friends with my ex, but not super close.

  4. She hasn't​ had a boyfriend and is a virgin.
